1、 Overview

Isopropanol, scientific name2-propanol, also known as its English abbreviation IPA. The molecular formula is CH3, COH CH3, and the molecular weight is 58.08.

It is an isomer of n-propanol. Colorless transparent liquid with the smell of mixture of ethanol and acetone. Soluble in water, alcohol, ether, benzene, chloroform and other organic solvents. Isopropanol is an important chemical product and raw material. It is mainly used in pharmacy, cosmetics, plastics, spices, coatings, etc.

The flash point of isopropanol is 12 ℃, the spontaneous combustion temperature is 360 ℃, the boiling point is 88 ℃, and the explosion limit of the mixture with air is 2% - 12.7%.

3、 Purpose:

The most common use of isopropanol is as a cleaning agent in the electronic industry and a diluent in the coating industry. At the same time, it can be used as an organic solvent in medicine, plastics, resin, rubber, photographic film and other industries.

As chemical raw materials, it can produce acetone, hydrogen peroxide, methyl isobutyl ketone, diisobutyl ketone, isopropylamine, isopropyl ether, isopropyl alcohol ether, isopropyl chloride, isopropyl fatty acid and chlorinated fatty acid. In fine chemical industry, it can be used to produce isopropyl nitrate, isopropyl xanthate, triisopropyl phosphite, aluminum triisopropoxide, medicine and pesticide.


4、 Packaging and storage:

20L / barrel and 200L / barrel shall be stored in a cool, ventilated and dry place according to the provisions of flammable chemicals. Avoid large storage!
